I joined the Financial Services Industry in 1983 and have worked in a variety of roles for both Financial Advisers and Insurance Companies, including 7 years working for a large National IFA. My work with both corporate and individual clients covers all aspects of their financial planning requirements with an emphasis on pensions. I am a qualified pension transfer specialist. In addition to retirement planning, the other main area I am involved in is investment planning on behalf of individuals and trustees. I am an Associate Member of the Personal Finance Society. In my spare time, family and work permitting, I enjoy running (slowly) and have recently taken up fishing for when I need a complete change of pace !

Having spent 10 years with a large insurance company, I became a financial adviser in 1987. Although specialising in pensions, particularly Self Administered Schemes, I am also authorised to advise on all aspects of life insurance and financial planning. I am married and in my spare time enjoy walking holidays.

My experience allows me to be involved in all aspects of financial planning dealing with both individual and corporate clients including bespoke arrangements. I am also the authorised Mortgage intermediary within A E Thomson Ltd. I like to ensure our clients are dealt with as individuals and not numbers and that they receive friendly quality financial advice everytime. Out of the world of financial services, I enjoy spending time with my family and 2 children along with playing my beloved Football and for my sins I am a lifelong Ipswich fan. I also enjoy running and recently completed a couple of half marathons for charity.

I have worked in the insurance industry for 27 years, initially for several large insurance companies in a variety of roles within the life and pensions arena. I joined Edmond Thomson and his partners in 1992 in an administrative role, he retired in 1999 and the business was closed. A new company bearing his name was formed some time later and I took on the role of office manager. I am an authorised individual and continue to liase with both clients and insurers, able to give appropriate advice where relevant on a range of personal and corporate financial solutions. I am married with three children and spend most of my free time with them when not caught up in DIY projects! I am also a member of the Isle of Ely Lions Club, a charitable organisation providing help to the less fortunate and supporting community projects in the Ely area.

I have worked in financial services for nearly 20 years. My career path has taken me from Commercial Union to Standard Life and recently to A E Thomson Ltd where I joined in early August as an administrator. As for outside of work, I am a Cambridge United season ticket holder- on the verge of the premier league to non league in a few short seasons! I also enjoy motorcycle racing and have a border collie who does his best to keep me fit.

There have been many changes in the insurance and pensions industry since I began working for the company as a general administrator several years ago. Today I am responsible for dealing with commission related matters and the preparation of the Company's accounts. On the general administration side, I liase with insurance companies, type letters and reports and you may find I answer your telephone call. When possible my husband, Peter, and I enjoy spending the weekend away in our touring caravan and eating out. When not away, Peter is a keen bowler. My daughter Karen, works in Australia and I envisage that Peter and I will be holidaying there during the next few years.

I have worked at this office as a senior administrator for many years. My duties include daily client contact, approaching insurance companies for various policy details on behalf of our clients, requesting quotations for investments, life cover and pensions, preparing individual client investment schedules on a regular basis, maintaining the client database and general typing. We are a small office and I feel we work well together as a team which enables us to offer the best service to our clients. I have been married to Ray for three years and our hobby is golf. I have been a member of Ramsey Golf Club since 1992 and at present play off a handicap of 20. Ray joined the Club in 1997 and plays off 6. I am Lady Captain from November 2006.
