Keith W Boyall
Keith’s career in Financial Services began in 1983 and he has worked in a variety of roles for both financial advisers and insurance companies, including seven years working for a large national independent financial adviser. Keith joined A E Thomson Ltd in 1999.
He works with both corporate and individual clients covering all aspects of their financial planning requirements with an emphasis on pensions/investments and retirement planning. Keith is also an Associate Member of the Personal Finance Society.

Nigel has worked in the Financial Services Industry since 1992, progressing from client administration to an Account Manager with a multinational Insurance Company before joining A E Thomson Ltd in 2000 as an Independent Financial Adviser. He became a Director of the company in 2004 and is the company’s compliance officer with the responsibility of ensuring that all advice provided by the firm meets the stringent requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority, the industry’s regulatory body.
Nigel’s vast experience allows him to be involved in all aspects of clients financial planning at both individual and corporate level including bespoke arrangements.
He holds the Diploma in Financial Planning qualification as well as being a member of the Personal Finance Society. Nigel is also qualified mortgage intermediary within A E Thomson Ltd.
Out of work Nigel is a very keen sportsman and is heavily involved with grassroots football in which he coaches his son’s football team and is Chairman of Witchford Colts FC. On top of this he enjoys spending time with his family.

Mark has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, initially working for several large insurance companies in a variety of roles within the life and pensions sector. He was appointed by the firm’s founder, Edmond Thomson in 1992.
In addition to liaising with individual and corporate clients with the administration of their financial arrangements, Mark is also a qualified financial adviser, authorised to provide independent financial advice to clients on pensions, life insurance and mortgages.
In 2012, Mark attained the Diploma for Financial Advisors from the Institute of Financial Services and the Certificate for Mortgage advice and practice in 2014.
Out of work a busy family keeps him occupied.
Margaret was appointed in 1999 and has worked as a senior administrator within the business since that time.
Margaret’s duties involve daily client contact, liaising with insurance companies and other product providers to obtain client information. Margaret also provides excellent administration support for Nigel and Keith. Maintaining the client database and acting as the primary point of contact for a number of our corporate clients in relation to monthly processing of their group pension arrangements. Also, the preparation for IFA client meetings.
Often Margaret is the first person you hear when contacting A E Thomson Ltd by telephone.
In Margaret’s spare time she likes to play golf and has been a member of a local golf club since 1992 and was Ladies Captain in 2007. Within the golf club Margaret helps with organising the social functions and Charity Golf Days.
Colin joined A E Thomson in 2011 and prior to this has been in the industry since 1988 working for an Insurance Company and then within the IFA arena.
Colin holds the Financial Planning Certificate qualification and works closely with Mark Gordon. His primary responsibility is to assist with the management of the IFAs’ pipeline and portfolio of existing business. This includes providing valuable support for Nigel and Keith in their work with clients and liaising with insurance companies and pension providers to ensure the smooth running of clients’ portfolios.
Colin takes a keen interest out of work in watching many different sports.
Alison’s main role is to provide administrative support to one of our larger corporate clients, in connection with the management and reconciliation of contributions to their corporate pension arrangements.
Alison joined A E Thomson in 2014. She holds the Financial Planning Certificate and has worked in financial services since 1986. Her experience includes working at the head office of a building society, a large insurance company and a long established independent financial adviser in Cambridge. Prior to joining A E Thomson Alison spent 7 years working at a top 30 accountancy firm.
Out of work Alison enjoys spending time with her family.
